Wear Your Wellness: Spreading Self-Care Awareness 👚

I’m a t-shirt, sweatsuit, & sneakers type of chick. There’s absolutely no shame in my game when it comes to not being a girly girl. Comfort over cute for me, honey! So when I randomly started thinking of catchy self-care things, I figured why not put them on t-shirts? What better way to spread awareness about the importance of self-care than to wear your wellness? 🤔

Where Wear Your Wellness Was Birthed 🤰🏽

Random thoughts…I might be the Queen of them! 👸🏾 My mind is all over the place all the time. It’s stays on overdrive, which is a gift & a curse. I can come up with the most extreme scenarios, but I can come up with the most EXTREME scenarios. 🤦🏽‍♀️They can be fascinating & ridiculous all at the same time. Creativity on max!

     During one of my random thinking times, the word “peace” kept popping into my mind. I’m not completely sure what was going on in my life, but considering 2024 has had me on the most twisty, fastest, unending rollercoaster, I’m pretty sure some chaos was going on. 😵‍💫 My Lock Screen says “Protect Your Peace at All Costs,” a little something to remind me that it’s ok to choose yourself.

     All of a sudden, peace-themed phrases started flying through my head. T-shirts weren’t a direction I ever thought of going into, but I started thinking “these might be dope on t-shirts.” Once again, that good ol Notes app got cracked open, & I started typing everything that came to mind. 📱 For the next couple of days, I’d write whatever came to mind in my phone so I wouldn’t forget it. That lil app saves me so much! It comes through in the clutch every time.

How to Wear Your Wellness to Spread Self-Care Awareness ☎️

The whole purpose of creating Intentional was to spread awareness about self-care. It’s something I’m so passionate about. That & mental health are my babies, ya hear me? What’s a for sure way people can receive that message? Something catchy on a t-shirt, so I headed back to the computer & started designing. The finished product:  6 different phrases with multiple designs for men & women. We have:

• Journal, Meditate, Pray, Repeat 
• Journal, Yoga, Meditate, Repeat
• Oh So Zenny

     I’ve gotten many compliments about my t-shirts when I go out in public. I even got a request for a customized one last week. It’s kind of dope to have people admire what you’ve done. A powerful message goes a long way. Guess I’ll continue to be a walking billboard. 😉
