Reflect, Reset, & Realign: A Birthday Weekend of Intentional Growth
Birthdays are more than just celebrations—they’re milestones, checkpoints in our personal journey. As I step into another year, I’m taking the last couple of days to pause, reflect, & reset. It’s easy to get caught up in daily routines, but intentional growth requires us to look back on where we’ve been & realign with where we want to go.
Preparing for Intentional Growth
I take my birthdays seriously; not necessarily on the exact date but sometime during the month of March I do a lil sumthin’ sumthin’. With all that’s been going on in the world, you have to count every day you’re here as a blessing. I’ve definitely learned to live life out loud as much as possible (but not do anything too crazy…like jumping out of/into air or water ). Cruise Camp 2025 is loading though…
Journaling plays a huge role in this process. I’ll periodically go back to reflect on the past year—my wins, lessons, & areas that need more attention. Looking back on 365 days can really open your eyes to the little things that are blessings, the resilience you’ve shown, how life really isn’t that bad all the time. Cuz babaaaaaay, 2024 whooped my …BUT I’M STILL HERE!!!
After I do a little reflecting, I shift my focus forward: What do I want this next year to feel like? What goals align with my values & vision? Who or what do I need to cut out of my life to achieve those goals (yes, just like pruning gardens & getting a haircut encourages growth, so does leaving stuff behind)? By putting pen to paper, I’m not just making plans—I’m making a commitment to myself.
Even though this weekend is pretty packed for me (with things that have nothing to do with my bday), I’m going to make time to focus on intentional growth. I challenge you to do the same. Take a moment to journal about where you are, where you want to be, & the small steps that will get you there.
Help me kick off a new year of life by journaling live on Saturday morning at 11am on Zoom. Come join a community of women who are determined to make time for themselves as well as their goals. Your future self will thank you!
