Need a Jumpstart? Give Exercising a Try!

It’s no secret how I feel about exercising & eating healthy. I despise anything that makes me sweat, feels like exercise, or makes me hurt. My willpower is super low on consistently eating healthy. In fact, I think the only time I really took eating healthy seriously was when I was pregnant with my daughter & had gestational diabetes. And I think I only took that seriously because she would be negatively affected by my actions. Man was I mad when I wasn’t supposed to have my baby shower cake! The want for a healthier lifestyle is there, but unless I have a goal & someone to hold me accountable, the routine fizzles out pretty quickly. I need to do better!

Yeah, exercising can make you groan, but it has far more positive aspects to it, especially when it comes to positive energy. Exercising gives your cells a boost of energy & oxygen, which results in you having more energy to handle whatever you have on your to-do list. I know it was definitely harder for me to fall asleep when I’d workout in the evenings. I’d be up for hours looking like an owl in the dark, but my body felt good even when it was sore.

Getting a good workout in boosts your mood. It’s a good stress reliever, a way to let the tension out. I could wear a treadmill thin when I had a stressful day at work. For those who are social butterflies, going to the gym is a way to get together with friends or meet new people. You might find a few hidden treasures in there 😝. Either way, the good energy flows in, & the bad energy flows out.

Doing a yoga session can also either give you a boost of energy or calm you down, all while putting your mind at ease. It’s a good way to tone muscles & increase flexibility while you zone out. It gives me a chance to clear my mind & be able to focus more. It’s one of my favs that doesn’t feel like exercise. I find one on YouTube that pertains to whatever I’m feeling that day, throw my headphones on, & get moving for 15-30 minutes. I need to get back to that too.

Prioritizing your overall health is a must, especially as you get older. There are so many inspirational older people who take care of themselves, & they give me a means of realizing I should have no excuses. I’m going to commit to getting back to prioritizing my physical health. It’s on August 1! Drop some suggestions on how to make exercising not feel like exercising & how to have fun doing it. I’m going to need some help with this one!

A fascinating discussion is definitely worth comment. I do think that you ought to publish more about this topic, it may not be a taboo subject but typically people dont speak about such issues. To the next! Many thanks!!
